| Q |
What form of payment does TicketVision accept? |
|
Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover and cashiers checks or money orders. |
| Q |
How do I know when my order is confirmed? |
|
During normal business hours, a customer service representative will contact you either via telephone or email shortly after receiving your order to confirm that the tickets are available, your credit card has been charged and when to expect delivery. |
| Q |
How are My Tickets Delivered? |
|
All orders are shipped via Federal Express. Your shipping options and rates are clearly indicated for you to choose from during your purchase and checkout process. We can only ship to the cardholder's billing address. If you require shipping to a different address, we must receive a signed, fax authorization form from you before your order can be processed. |
| Q |
Can I Return or Exchange My Tickets After Purchase? |
|
Tickets have fluctuating and time sensitive value. Therefore, all sales are final once your order is confirmed. The only time a refund is permitted is if the event gets cancelled and no rescheduled date is set. We do not permit refunds if a game or event is rescheduled as you are responsible for the new date. |
| Q |
Are the tickets I am ordering in the exact location specified on your website? |
|
We guarantee that we will ship you the tickets specified on your order form unless we contact you with other options and receive authorization from you. We reserve the right to upgrade seating at no additional cost, however, we will contact you to let you know of the upgrade when your order is being processed. All tickets are together and in the same row unless otherwise specified. All orders are confirmed via email and/or telephone so that you know exactly when to expect the tickets to arrive. |
| Q |
What is a ticket broker? |
|
Ticket brokers are "hired" to negotiate purchases or sales of entertainment tickets. Ticket brokers bring the buyer and seller of a particular ticket together to complete the sale. Ticket brokers often purchase tickets in advance for a particular sporting, musical or theatrical event, which they deem to be in demand. Ticket brokers utilize a vast array of contacts established over the years to obtain desired seating. They in turn will make this ticket available for sale to clients who desire premium seating to choice events. The largest portion of a ticket's final sell price may actually reflect the costs incurred by a ticket broker in locating and purchasing that ticket for you. The ticket broker is simply passing on those cost plus a standard percentage to cover business expenses. |
| Q |
What drives the price for a given event? |
|
Ticket brokers must often purchase tickets at prices far above face value. This is often because the original holder of a ticket (perhaps a season ticket holder or avid fan) knows that the true value of a given seat may be far higher than that printed on the face of the ticket. In turn, ticket brokers must pay prices above face value to obtain the best seats. Additionally, a ticket broker must take into consideration his/her usual business expenses such as advertising, insurance, rent and supplies when pricing a ticket. |
| Q |
Is it legal to sell tickets for more than face value? |
|
Yes. We comply with local and state laws and public policy in all states in which business is processed. It may require a license in certain states, however, most ticket brokers are actually selling you a ticket at the normal face price and including their service fees with that. As previously explained, the price of a ticket will include the costs incurred in locating that ticket. These costs are all in addition to the face price printed on a ticket. For some events, the final price of a ticket may be equal to or only several dollars more than the face price. In other situations, such as a major national event like the Super Bowl or Final Four, the final ticket price may be several times higher than the face price due to the enormous demand for limited seating. For specific laws and policies in your area, please contact you local government. Delivery restrictions and proof of residency may be required to ensure compliance. |
| Q |
So in a way, purchasing tickets is like at an auction - the item goes to the highest bidder? |
|
Ticket brokers do not offer a ticket for sale with an open ended price, hoping that someone will bid it up to a fair market value. Tickets are priced according to supply and demand. When you see a ticket for sale, it has a sale price set by the ticket broker. That is the price deemed fair and reasonable by the broker. By purchasing from a licensed ticket broker, the customer is assured that we have done the research to assure that the ticket is geniune and true. We verify all of our sources and only purchase from those that are extremely reliable. |
| Q |
Do ticket brokers purchase most of the seats for a given game or concert and leave the true fans out in the cold? |
|
Fortunately not. Musicians, promoters and professional sports teams have prevented this from happening by placing strict limits on amounts of seats that can be purchased for any event. In this way, no one person, group or business can purchase a large block of seats, thus limiting those available to the public. Ticket brokers usually obtain their tickets at the general public on-sales that you might also line up for, one seat at a time. Ticket brokers also spend money and effort on advertising. Season ticket holders often respond by selling their seats to brokers. |
| Q |
So ticket brokers are simply serving a clientele who seek the best seats and do not have time to find them on their own? |
|
Absolutely. Ticket brokers and agents work hard to locate the very best seats to a large variety of events for corporate and discerning individuals. Most clients do not wish to stand in line at the box office on Saturday mornings. And most cringe at remaining on the telephone for hours on end just in order to snag two seats to a hot concert. Instead, one can simply request a seat in the front row and purchase it within minutes from a ticket broker. The costs may be greater, but the price placed upon convenience and entertainment is up to each individual. |
